Andy’s Diner & Bar – The American Diner

The Andy’s Diner & Bar belongs to a restaurant chain in Berlin. This place is decorated the American way, providing American colors, symbols, comfy diner couches and even a naked bike motorcycle standing in the middle of the restaurant.

As for the food, I almost had ordered the Chili con Carne, and maybe it would have been better, if I had done so. I ordered the only pizza they have on the menu instead and albeit the description was with cheese and tomato, unfortunately there was not a single piece of tomato to be discovered on the pizza. So my pizza was good in taste but actually more of a cheese cake than a pizza, what would not have been a problem, if I had ordered a cheese pizza without any tomato. But this had not been my order. So it was more of a heavy cheese-laden experience and next time I will definitely order a different dish at Andy’s Diner & Bar and hopefully I will get what I ordered.

The American Diner Andy’s Diner & Bar is a great place to experience the American way of life in Berlin. Located right next to the Berliner Funkturm, the Radio Tower Berlin reminding of the Tour Eiffel, the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, this diner is right between the Central Bus Terminal (ZOB) and the Exhibition Center of Berlin (Messe Berlin). In the vicinity is the Subway Station Kaiserdamm with which you reach the City Center within 20 minutes.

The staff is friendly and willing to help and the ambience is definitely like an American diner from the 1950ies with many Rock ‘n’ Roll elements everywhere. So to stay at Andy’s will give you the feeling of being in a time warp.

But see for yourself:

The Bottom Line: Andy’s Diner & Bar, located in the Messedamm 10, in 14057 Berlin, right next to the Berliner Funkturm, is a great American Diner with these comfortable sofa niches American Diners are famous for and a motorcycle placed in the middle of the room.
